Digital printing has revolutionised the printing and signage industry dramatically over the last few years as more and more high end products become available. The greatest difference between digital printing and traditional methods such as lithography, flexography, gravure, or letterpress is that there is no need to replace printing plates in digital printing, whereas in analog printing the plates are repeatedly replaced.
The most popular methods of digital printing include inkjet or laser printers that deposit pigment or toner onto a wide variety of substrates including paper, photo paper, canvas, glass, metal, marble, and other substances. Digital printing refers to methods of printing from a digital-based image directly to a variety of media. It usually refers to professional printing where small-run jobs from desktop publishing and other digital sources are printed using large-format and/or high-volume laser or inkjet printers.
The biggest advantage that you can get from flatbed digital printing is the versatility that they offer. No matter what material, what shape, and what size of the material you want to print on, as long as it has a flat surface and does not exceed the maximum size of printable area of the flatbed, you can print on it. The resolution of prints produced by these devices is also very high and they can print in quick speed. The ink consumption of the device is also very efficient and you are able to use the ink as optimally as possible.

Digital printing allows for on-demand printing, short turnaround time, and even a modification of the image (variable data) used for each impression. Ultra Signs has embraced the digital large format printing revolution by investing heavily in technology. We utalize a HP Designjet L26500 and an Arizona Oce for flat bed and roll on roll printing. Both offer high quality prints of over 1400 dpi. We can now print on virtually any surface or substrate with inks that permiate into the surface there by extending its life cycle. From small to big runs we are able to print anything for indoor and out door use.
